Qualifications
Mick completed his trade as a Fitter Machinest in 1984, then gained further experience in both the mining and fishing industries. He studied Marine Engineering at Challenger TAFE and completed his Diploma in 2008.
Bhagwan Marine, a major player in the construction of the Gorgon Project at Barrow Island, employed Mick as a Landing Barge and Multicat Engineer during the construction phase of the project.
Mick’s sea-going and mechanical background gives him a solid foundation to apply his skills to Marine Surveying.
He completed a Cert IV in Training and Assessment to further his lecturing roles in Marine Engineering at various RTO’s.
Mick gained his AMSA accreditation in November 2016 and presently works as a Class 3 Engineer for Svitzer Australia. Currently, he is completing the ADVANCED DIPLOMA IN MARINE SURVEYING after completing the INTERNATIONAL DIPLOMA IN MARINE SURVEYING in 2017.
